TERMS AND CONDITIONS
ComSafe Training Services is a registered training organisation (RTO 91235) and by engaging ComSafe or participating in our training you accept the following terms and conditions.
All bookings are deemed to have been placed by an appropriate approved representative of the clients’ business. Participant names are required at the time of booking for ComSafe’s administrative and student identification use. Clients may substitute participants at any time with notice to ComSafe personnel.
Out of Hours Bookings:
Out of business hour (8am -4:30pm – Monday to Friday) bookings will attract an additional 40% surcharge to the total program costs.
Get Your Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Before you enrol you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Visit https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi
to request a USI. Remember to add ComSafe Training Services to your account via the Manage Permissions page (code: 91235, name: ComSafe Training Services ABN 12593473110).
ComSafe is a fee for service commercial training provider and reserves the right to require payment prior to the commencement of your training and or hire services. By accepting our proposal or enrolling in a course with us, you confirm that you’ve read and understood the “fees” associated with your program and agree to pay as per your invoice within 30 days, as per our Terms and Conditions.
Fees are subject to change without notice.
Payment terms for ComSafe are 30 days from the date of invoice however, if the program is booked inside of 30 days, payment must be received prior to the commencement of the training, unless notified otherwise by ComSafe’s Management. Program invoices will be raised at the time of booking.
Payments for Services rendered include; training, product orders, consultancy, venue hire, associated consumables, as well as services such as; hire for film, safety and standbys, requiring equipment and personnel or any other services ComSafe may provide will incur fees for services and by invoiced to the client.
Where travel and accommodation is charged, a separate invoice will be issued to that of your training fees.
Payment methods include Credit Card payment by either MasterCard or Visa. Please note: Credit card payments are processed and a receipt or tax invoice will be forwarded to you from Fire & Rescue NSW. (Card payments will incur a surcharge fee of 0.40%). ComSafe also accept BPAY, EFT and Purchase Orders from Government Agencies.
Late payments without notice may result in program cancellation and additional fees and charges. If payment of a program fee has not been received within the 30 day period, an enrolment may be cancelled and additional fees and charges applied. Clients will be notified prior to this occurring.
A late fee of 15% of the program total will be invoiced to the client.
Cancellations & Refunds:
Notifications of cancellations, refunds and requests for transfers must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org
More than 5 working days from program commencement – In the event of a cancellation and the client does not opt to reschedule, ComSafe will charge 10% of the full course fee (refund 90%). This fee will not apply if weather conditions or operational needs prohibit the course from running.
5 working days or less from program commencement – In the event of notification of a cancellation 5 working days or less before the program commencement date, fees paid will not be refunded or allocated to another program. ComSafe cannot accept responsibility for changes to work commitments or personal circumstances within this 5 working day period.
You may send a substitute participant however, please notify us of the change in participant details by contacting the ComSafe support team on 1800 78 78 48 prior to training commencement.
Rescheduling a Program:
If the client reschedules a program, a flat fee of $150 will be charged. Where less than 10 working days is provided, an administrative fee of $350 will be charged. In all circumstances, written notice is required and the new booking date must occur within 3 months from the original booking date. Subsequent requests to reschedule will be treated as cancellations and fees applied.
Where programs are rescheduled due to operational requirements or weather conditions, no charges will apply to reschedule. Courses will not be refunded.
Transfers only apply to Public Courses. Written notice is required and must be received at least 5 working days prior to the course; otherwise the FULL course fees will be retained by ComSafe. An administrative fee of $75 per person will apply in the first instance. The new booking date must occur within 3 months from the original booking date. Any subsequent requests of transfer will result in a flat fee of $150 and will apply on top of course fees.
Refunds will apply for the following reasons:
-Participants have overpaid the program fees.
-Participants enrolled in training that has been cancelled by ComSafe and rescheduling is not possible.
-In the opinion of ComSafe, the participant would be unreasonably disadvantaged if not granted a refund, for example, a participant meets with a serious misadventure and is unable to continue their enrolment due to unforeseen circumstances. Where this occurs a flat fee of $75 per person will be retained by ComSafe.
Each review will be examined and determined on its merits by considering a client’s claim together with independent supporting documentation substantiating the claim.
Reduction of Charges:
All applications must be made in writing to the Manager, ComSafe at email@example.com ,prior to the commencement of the service/program. Reduction in charges may result in additional services rendered in lieu of discounting or where volume of sales allows. Further information can be found in our Policy.
If a client fails to attend a program, fees will not be refunded or allocated to another program. If the nominated participant is unable to attend a scheduled program or part of a program, substitute participants are always welcome to attend. The Training Facilitator requires full name on entry for the attendance list.
Travel and Accommodation:
Standard program costs apply for training scheduled within a 2 hour radius of Ingleburn, as determined by “whereis.com”. All travel beyond this radius will incur a fee for excess travel time for forward and return journeys. This is charged at the rate of $1,600per day (or part there of (to & from) @ approx $200 per hr) for excess travelling time.
Where overnight accommodation is required, a flat rate of $250 per night will be applicable. Travel and accommodation charges will be invoiced on a separate invoice to that of the training.
Program Participant Number:
Participant numbers should not to exceed maximum numbers unless expressly agreed to by the Manager, ComSafe prior to the commencement of a training program. An additional per participant rate will be charged where the maximum numbers are exceeded and or where additional Training Facilitators may be required to ensure safety of participants. This applies to programs that attract a flat rate, an additional per person rate will also be charged to the client.
Where the minimum participant numbers are not met, the stated minimum number per person rate will be charged to the client (min 8 or flat rate).
ComSafe Training Facilitators have the right to refuse entry where participant numbers are excessive or inappropriate behaviours are exhibited. ComSafe has a number of Training Facilitators who also have their Working with Children’s Checks verified.
ComSafe reserves the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule programs due to low enrolments, unforeseen circumstances or due to the Operational requirements of Fire & Rescue NSW. Should this occur, training will be rescheduled as soon as practical. Should a refund be appropriate, monies paid will be refunded within 30 days. ComSafe reserves the right to change program fees, dates, content, methods of presentation and Training Facilitators at its discretion.

Material cannot be copied, reproduced or distributed in any form without prior written consent. All material provided and presented during training is for the sole use of the company and/or individual.
In relation to the Unique Student Identifier (USI) ComSafe is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988. ComSafe collects personal information that is reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, its functions and activities pursuant to the Student Identifiers Bill 2014.
ComSafe adheres to the NSW State Records Act 1998 and as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) registered by ASQA, we are required to securely retain our accredited training records for a period of 6 months from the date on which the judgment of competence for the student is made. We do not sell or share our client details to other organisations.
The information collected on the enrolment form is for the purposes of processing your registration, participant identification, creating and maintaining participant records, keeping you informed of upcoming events and products, reporting demographics to ASQA and assisting us in improving our service to the clients.
