The program is designed to prepare individual employees delegated the responsibility to lead an emergency response team. By utilising site-specific scenarios and supervised practical exercises, ERT Leaders will learn to safely and effectively lead an emergency response team to respond, coordinate, communicate and control early stage workplace emergencies and lead the team’s recovery operations.

It covers a broad range of emergencies and workplaces as considered in Australian Standard 3745—2010 and is an extension of the Emergency Response Team Member (PUAWER009B) program.

Practical exercises will be evaluated and debriefing undertaken to identify improvement opportunities related to equipment, procedure, training, and/or the emergency response plan.
